While I was in the Cape on business from Joburg, my laptop became unreliable and finally crashed on Thursday 7 March. I was proceeding from Cape Town to Bloemfontein on the Monday, and my laptop is essential for my work. On Friday 8 March I phoned Dial a Nerd, who recommended that I bring the machine in immediately. I had decided to replace the machine. Because of the urgency, Dial a Nerd was not able to provide me with a new laptop, as they had no stock. However, Nathan gave me good advice on specifications and reliable brands to help me buy a new laptop in the mall across the road – this made the task much easier. He then loaded my new software and transferred all my data from the old laptop to the new one – and he did all this correctly, and before the close of business on Friday. I was able to do what I needed to do in Bloem on Monday. Nathan was great – he deserves a customer service award!
