Nerds help Woz'obona give kids a chance to play

A few months ago we heard about an amazing initiative that Woz’obona, an NGO, was undertaking – to create a manual for teachers and parents which promoted ‘play’ for children!  This was extremely close to our hearts and we knew that Dial a Nerd could help somehow. After all, most of us started our computer careers by playing computer games!

We were invited to the launch in January 2010 and collected as many toys as we could... lego, puzzles, soccer balls, hoola hoops and sketch pads.  We delivered them to the Brixton Recreation Centre which Woz’obona has made into a safe haven where underprivileged children can just play and were overwhelmed by the happy chaos.  If you want to buy the manual or see if you can help this incredible cause please get in touch with HIPPY or Woz’obona.
