The most recent addition to nerd family, the Glenvista branch was established in mid 2009 to service the southern suburbs of Johannesburg. The branch is located close to the surrounding areas of Alberton and Mondeor, and services all the surrounding suburbs including Germiston and Soweto. What makes your branch unique? “We service Central Johannesburg, Southern Suburbs including the “New South”: Alberton, Soweto, and Katlehong.”

What is the best part of your job? “The fact that I can assist people to do their work at home or office better and more efficiently using today’s technology.”

What types of computer problems are most common in your branch? “Data Recoveries, e-mail & Internet issues.”

What is the coolest gadget you’ve seen? “The iPad.”

Do you prefer a PC or a Mac? “I personally prefer PC, but I can under the hype around a Mac.””

How do you handle computers with illegal software on them? “We legalize them. We immediately inform the client and quote them on legal software.”

How many computers do you have at home? “None! I spend enough time on PCs during the day at work.”

What is a nerd? “Usually someone that is very bright /smart and that lacks social skills – haha”

Max has been the branch manager of Glenvista since 2009.
