The oldest branch of Dial a Nerd, Parkhurst was established in 2002 when the nerds left their small branch in Greenside for more room and the beginning of a fast expanding business.The branch is centrally located down the road from Rosebank, making the northern suburbs of Johannesburg easily accessible. Parkhurst services clients in the surrounding areas of Craighall Park, Parktown North, Parview, Greenside and Linden, but often goes further to the Sandton suburbs and Northcliff. As the oldest established branch, Dial a Nerd Parkhurst has the largest staff compliment to keep up with a fast turnaround time.

What makes your branch unique? “We are a great team, everyone working together.”

What is the best part of your job? “Making sure clients are happy.”

What types of computer problems are most common in your branch? “Virus cleanups – internet problems.”

What is the coolest gadget you’ve seen? “The Patriot media player.”

Do you prefer a PC or a Mac? “I believe a Mac is better – doesn’t give you as many problems as a PC.””

How do you handle computers with illegal software on them? “We legalize them. We immediately inform the client and quote them on legal software.”

How many computers do you have at home? “None! I spend enough time on PCs during the day at work.”

What is a nerd? “A real nerd is a technician backing up personal data on home pc :D”
