Dial a Nerd Corporate Services is a division of Nerdworks created to meet the demand of SMEs requiring a rapid, professional response to their ongoing IT support and maintenance needs. Dial a Nerd has always focused on home and small business users, and the creation of Corporate Services has allowed us to widen that focus to assist larger organisations.

Corporate Services grew out of Dial a Nerd, a home support company started by Colin Thornton in 1998. Formerly known as Network Nerds, Corporate Services was started in 2003 by two senior nerds, taking friendly Dial a Nerd support service and augmenting it with quicker response times, service level agreements and more experienced technicians to suit the corporate environment.

Since its inception it has grown to be a fundamental part of the organisation with offices in Hurlingham and Sunninghill in Johannesburg, and Woodstock in Cape Town. Dial a Nerd has grown from the garage to a sophisticated operation with over one hundred employees, and with the goal of superior service at the forefront of our business, the company continues to go from strength to strength.

The Dial a Nerd Corporate Services approach is to take a close look at a clients IT system, usually with information that has been gathered by doing a comprehensive IT audit, and formulating a proposal which outlines key areas that need to be addressed and the means for doing so. The core focus of the proposal is around usability, efficiency, redundancy and minimizing down time.

Based on the nature of the IT system various suitable Service Level Agreements are available which guarantee certain high levels of support.
These agreements provide peace of mind for many SME clients who rely heavily on their IT systems and cannot afford to have down time.
